PERSONALITY;;
LIFE IS SACRED – Khalidah was taught by her mother ever since she was small that all life was sacred and should be cherished. Khalidah always found it an ironic testament coming from an immortal creature, but as time went on Khalidah found that she possessed the magical powers of a Healing Touch, and her mothers words took a strong hold on her heart. Khalidah is incredibly sweet and caring, showing kindness to all she comes across, and helps those whenever she can. She believes her mothers words that life is indeed sacred and should be saved whenever possible. Khalidah puts her intelligence to good use when it comes to medicinal herbs, and whatever her healing magic cannot solve, she usually has knowledge of a herb that will help.

PACIFIST – As part of being a healer, Khalidah has taken on the role of a pacifist, swearing to not cause any harm, no matter what. The only pain she will ever intentionally cause is that of resetting bones and relocating limbs that have been dislocated. Khalidah will never deny anyone the aid of her healing touch, but she is not adverse to making pain linger and dragging out the healing process if she does not like someone.

INTELLIGENT – Khalidah is a very bright young woman and loves nothing more than to crack open a book and learn whatever information the pages have to offer. However, she is not one to read fiction, believing it to be useless, and is rather more fond of books and scrolls that contain “actual fact”. Khalidah's learned knowledge ranges from the properties of herbs and other plants, potions, history of Speirling, the art of warfare, the revealed ins and outs of courtly intrigue, even natural minerals (gemstones) and their properties and uses (scientific, fashionable and even magical).

TEMPER – Khalidah is also in possession of a fiery temper. Khalidah does not like being threatened and if words cease to diffuse the threat, then Khalidah will not hesitate in lifting her bow and arrows in defence. Khalidah even takes great offence to people addressing her as a criminal: when she had never committed a crime in her life. Nor does she appreciate people claiming that women are not as capable as men; and sleazy male suggestions of her showing off her 'perky funbags' will not result in the trademark slap of her gender, but rather a dagger to their throat. Khalidah is not one to be messed with, even on a good day. However, because of her vows as a pacifist she will never actually inflict pain, despite her threats.

VAMPIRIC INSANITY – Because she had been bitten and turned by a Vampire, Khalidah now has the insatiable need to feed on blood, which unsettles her greatly. Not only did the bite take her grace, but it increased her temper so now that she has a breaking point. Whenever Khalidah is injured with severe bloodloss as a result, her vampiric natures kick in and begin to take over, slowly whittling away at her passive resolve, so that anything or anyone that begins to piss her off, Khalidah is likely to snap and loose control, swapping from her sweet and gentle nature of a Sidhe, to her monstrous side as a Vampire. If Khalidah has snapped completely to the point that her naturally blue-silver eyes are turned red, then “Khalidah” is no longer herself, but rather the monster that she tries to keep under a very tight leash, loosing all sense of herself – there is only the thirst.

CONFLICTED LOVE – Khalidah is also very uncertain about how to deal with people with it comes to love. She loves her family, but when it comes to her own romance, Khalidah can be rather “hot and cold”. She can be very flirty at times, but it does not mean that she will be very affectionate the next moment, resorting to essentially ignoring them until the another time when she is comfortable enough to be affectionate towards them again. She is not trying to be a b*tch, she is just very uncertain of herself due to seeing her parents marriage break apart: 12 years was not enough to keep them together.


FLAWS;;

• BLOOD-THIRST – Her biggest weakness. Any sight or smell of blood sends Khalidah into a raging fit, trying to lunge towards it and sink her teeth in. She has little to no control over it. Khalidah constantly has to remind herself not to bite people.
• KLUTZ – Thanks to the vampire venom that had been released into her from the vampire's bite, it has totally stripped away her natural Sidhe grace. While she can present that graceful air around her, she proves just how ungraceful she is now by tripping over branches and even her own feet.
• BAD JUDGEMENT – Her fiery nature not only comes through in her willingness to defend herself, but it also leaks into her judgement, making her fail to think through a plan entirely so that it is flawed, and trust the wrong people. Her judgement had insisted that when the vampire was finished with her she would return home... but look where it got her.
• UNTIDY HYPOCRITE – Khalidah forever informs people that they should be keeping things organised and tidy, and yet she is hopeless when it comes to practising what she preaches.
• CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH SECRETS – Don't tell this girl secrets! Khalidah can keep her own secrets, BUT she is unable to keep the secrets of others. She can't help herself in telling someone else... she doesn't really intend to spread the secret to someone else, but she truly can't help it.
  

SECRETS;;

• THUNDER - Khalidah is terrified of thunder. It makes her freeze completely in terror before diving under the nearest piece of furniture, whether it is a table, or bed. But when asked what she's doing Khalidah will always act as if she had dropped her necklace, and was not just scared by thunder.
• VAMPIRE - Khalidah tends to keep her vampire tendencies to herself. It's not everyday that you hear of a Sidhe that wants to bite the neck of others for blood.

HISTORY;;
Khalidah had adored her family, right from the outset. She was the oldest of four, two brothers being born only three years after her, and a younger sister another ten years later. Her brothers, Dimitri and Kyran, became strapping young lads that would later become apprentice blacksmiths and stonemasons respectively – if they had lived anywhere other than Teumnach her brothers might have become squires
and then Knights. But considering warfare was not a custom in Teumnach they turned towards the craftsman side of life. Khalidah's mother was a healer and, unofficially, the local midwife at times. It was from her mother that she learnt everything she needed to know about herbal lore, learning both the bright side and the dark side. She learned that while some plants could heal the sick, there were also plants that could make matters far worse... it was essential that she learned both.

Khalidah practised her herbal healing alongside her mother until her magic started to show itself, first in the form of Healing Touch, and then later in the ability to cast illusions. Mostly she would use her illusions to entertain her little sister, casting an array of butterflies to entertain Lily, always keeping them just out of reach of the smaller girl. When she reached the age of fourteen Khalidah was sent to study at Ioralta Academy. She was sorted into the Mist house and spent hours reading books studying and practising her magic in class, even setting aside extra time for practising her magic with her teachers. Unlike her house mates however, Khalidah was less interested in social climbing than they were. Khalidah had only one goal in mind: be the best she could be, so that she could take over as a healer from her mother.

Khalidah wore her black and blue uniforms proudly, though she despised the pink that they insisted she wear. In the end to satisfy her teachers Khalidah would wear a pink ribbon around her wrist just to show she had all the colours. Khalidah excelled in spell-casting, potions, enchantments, herbology. However, she shocked everyone when she took to Archery and Fighting with small weapons like a duck would take to water, and even there she excelled beyond their expectations.

When her seven years were over Khalidah left Ioralta Academy to return home to Teumnach, and to her family. She hadn't made any new friends like some would have hoped of her. That was when the trouble began. Her parents started to have arguments every night and Khalidah was left calming her sister down so that the child could sleep. The three older siblings rarely slept with the arguments and would sit up with each other, Khalidah's illusions being used in an attempt to distract them all. It never really worked. Things seemed to get back to normal for a time, right before their mother left... leaving the entirely family behind. Khalidah gave up trying to explain to Lily why their mother was never coming back, Lily just didn't seem to understand.

Khalidah took over as a healer and as the typical “housewife” for her family – cooking, cleaning, and looking after Lily, while her father and brothers worked. The five of them managed to find some happiness for a time, but it didn't seem to last. A vampire from Sgaithe had come into Teumnach, starving and in desperate need of a feeding of blood. Everyone knows that a starving vampire is a little lost in the head anyway, but this vampire was permanently a few screws loose - being utterly stupid and starving combined, the vampire didn't seem to realise or care that he was attacking a family of Sidhe, rather than Humans. But he saw the cottage and went for it.

Khalidah made her father take her family out the back while she faced down the vampire with her bow and arrows, shooting at it repeatedly, trying to deter it and turn it back. But the arrows did nothing against it and in the end Khalidah found herself trapped into a corner before fangs sunk into her neck, draining her blood. Her brothers had returned to the house to get her, but found her being bitten before the vampire swept her away into the night. Khalidah was spirited to Sgaithe until the vampire had realised that she was a Sidhe, not a human. But the poison in her blood had already started to change her. She gained fangs and a thirst for blood, but they were the only changes she underwent, relatively saved thanks to her Sidhe heritage.

But because the vampire had realised that she was a Sidhe, he knew that she could never go free – in the eventuality that she tell the story to others. The vampire arranged for her to sent to Riasglach so that she would disappear amongst all the other banished people. Khalidah was too weak from the bite to fight back when she was hauled away, but as her strength returned over time Khalidah vowed to herself that she would escape, return to her family for a few days before she continued on to Eacharnach. The first thing she needed was an ally – who would be daring enough to become allied with a Sidhe that fed on blood?
