PERSONALITY;;
Pandion is primarily an arrogant person, thinking himself superior to others and visioning himself as a great leader, he is a very proud person and his pride is easily wounded. Insults do not pass lightly with Pandion and many a man has lost a tongue as a result of mocking him. He is selfish, putting himself before all others. If it came to a choice between a friend and himself, he would choose himself a hundred times over and not regret it. Pandion is a pitiless and merciless person. Should someone stumble at an obstacle, not only will Pandion not help them back up, but he will take advantage of them whilst they're vulnerable.
However if there was one trait of his that you would have to admire, it would be his mind. Pandion has a brilliant mind and one that is most suited to a great military leader with added ambition. Pandion is observant and analytical in his thinking, planning each step before he makes a move. All his actions have a purpose, and those purposes don't generally concern the welfare of those around him. He is practical and resourceful, able to work with very little and still manage to receive brilliant results. He is determined and once he has an idea in his mind, there is very little that will sway him from achieving that. He is hugely manipulative, helped by his lying skills and his persuasive argumentation. He can twist a situation easily and being the wonderful illusionist he is, he can trick people into they have what they want when in reality they are far from that. It sometimes turns into a game for Pandion; how long can he manipulate someone to his own advantage until they are of no further use to him. Pandion isn't afraid to voice his opinions and generally he is able to back up his opinions sufficiently for them to be widely accepted. Though the trait he values most as a leader is his ability to think like others, whether they be a peasant or noble or bard or business man, he knows what his people want and he can give it to them, or at least pretend to.
Pandion cares a lot for his looks, because contrary to what people would like to believe; appearance is everything. And even looking the part of a King gives one a huge advantage. He spends a lot of time in the training yard, practising with various master-of-arms to enhance his skills. He equally spends a lot of time jousting and hunting and by putting on various competitions he styles himself as the people's champion, sharing his winnings with the people by putting a portion of his winnings into improving the realm. And he certainly knows how to put on a show to bedazzle others.

HISTORY;;
Pandion Alexander was difficult from the day he was born never satisfied with anything less than that which he wanted, growing up in the shadow of one supposedly 'great' sibling and another more pathetic one, he oft felt deprived of the attention he deserved from his Father and his council. Though his mother gave him a great deal of attention and would hardly leave Pandion's side. She claims that she knew he was destined for greatness and so on, but Pandion has a feeling that it was because she didn't get much attention either. As he grew up, his jealousy was only heightened as he felt constantly compared to Peregrine in an inferior manner and so he grew into a very competitive and arrogant child, often fighting with Peregrine for attention. At a very young age, Pandion indulged himself into the arts of combat, riding and would dabble in history books of great leaders and battles. He would spend much of his time training in combat (favouring the feel of a long-sword in his hands) and jousting, often competing in tournaments. He saw his brother's love of arts as a distraction and useless, especially for a future King. Whether or not he had actually received attention for his endless efforts to beat Peregrine (some attempts less triumphant than others) is debatable, but Pandion would always see himself as the over-looked child and one thing for sure was from that very young age, Pandion had made his mind up that this castle certainly wasn't big enough to keep both of them.
It was when Peregrine first left for Ioralta that Pandion had the idea of taking the throne for himself. Peregrine would be a weak ruler and Pandion would rather die than allow a great nation to crumble at the hands of his brother. So when Pandion came of an age to study at Ioralta, he denied the opportunity much to everyone's surprise. Instead, he had a multitude of tutors hired to teach him. He made this a very intense period of time for himself, allowing himself close to no time for relaxing. He learnt the basic skills (Maths, science and english) but specialised in skills useful to military tacticians (all forms of combat, strategies, defensive measures and offensive measures) and skills required for a leader (speeches, propaganda, economics, structure of society, etc.). He saw himself with a two year disadvantage to Peregrine already and had to make up for that gap.
As the years went by, Peregrine was still away and Pandion's education was only a little less intense than he had started. However, now along with his squire Marcus; a boy well-trained in combat, a close adviser to Pandion and fiercely loyal to Pandion. And with the help of Lena, a serving girl whom had access to confidential files and documents as well as being able to do Pandion's bidding without her actions being able to be traced back to Pandion. The three of them began their next step to preparing for Pandion's reign. Having read all about various revolutions, he noted that the revolutions of which failed were always the one in which pure force was used. Fear was a powerful tool, but respect was an even greater one. So in his planning he would have to go deeper than getting rid of his opposition, he would need the people's support and moreover, he would need the people to want Peregrine gone. And so Pandion would frequently ride through Eachanarch and 'listen' to the complaints of the people, promising to do this and that without really having a care what happened to them. The only reason he was doing this was because he needed them to secure his rule. And very slowly he began planting seeds of doubt within the people of whether Peregrine would make a worthy ruler. Some people had taken it to the extreme and had wished for King Falcon gone as well, much to Pandion's delight. He would have Lena starting to spread ill rumours about Peregrine as well to strengthen the people's hate for him.
Nearing the end of Peregrine's 7 years at Ioralta, Pandion was almost ready for his return. He had planned his attack on the King and on Peregrine. Everything was coming together, he had his own personal guard on hand should things go wrong and had stirred enough commotion amongst the people to know that they wanted a different ruler. However, there would be one more surprise left in store for Pandion. And that's when we fall once more upon the subject of Pandion's mother, Danainae. It was only by chance that he chanced upon a few letters and confessions written by his mother, revealing her unhappy marriage, her deceased lover, and so on. This was interesting to Pandion but irrelevant, and anything irrelevant was not worth his time. It was only when he stumbled across a short sentence tying Pandion to her ex-lover, relating the two in personality. And that was when Pandion decided to take action. He went to his mother and confessed that he had happened to come across her private notes, but instead of being angry with her, he comforted her and by pulling on the right strings, one thing led to another and before Danainae had any idea of what was happening, they had made it to the bedroom. And that was the beginning to a very brief incestuous relationship between the two. Of course Pandion cared not for his mother, but if his father was to be murdered in his sleep, who better to have on his side than the woman who shared his bed?
With everything in place after years of planning, Peregrine finally came home. Only to soon find out what Pandion had in store for him along with the rest of his family. A few days after Peregrine's return, Pandion started the attack. He father murdered in his sleep with the help of his mother putting a sleeping draught in his drink. This was followed by the failed attack on Peregrine, which as far as Pandion was concerned was his only mistake as well as having lost Kestrel in the commotion. There was only one person who was aware of the full extent to his plans, and that person was Marcus. The rest, including his mother, would hear some variant of the lie, to most it was along the lines of Peregrine attacking his sleeping father to become King, though Pandion came to help his father but by then it was too late, Peregrine then attacked Pandion, but overcome with grief, Pandion was unable to fight Peregrine off. With the whole realm now searching for the traitor, Pandion didn't have to wait long until the glorious day when Peregrine would be publicly executed for Pandion's crimes. And at last there would be no longer be anything in his way between his and the throne of Eachanarch.
Pandion's rule has lasted one year so far and with the economy flourishing almost as much as the military is, he has held on to the support of his people. As well as hosting numerous tourneys to keep the people entertained, many in which he participates. And from outside the castle walls, everything seems perfect; crime rates falling rapidly, extreme poverty decreasing as a result of increased military recruitment and all in all the people are led to believe they have more than anyone could wish for. Though inside the palace walls, there's an immense difference. Punishment for crimes, no matter how small, is something Pandion insists upon and criminals or 'freedom-fighters' are never heard of again once they are taken. Though even with the support of Eachanarch, Pandion still wants more and is currently planning on assaulting attacks on various other kingdoms. Though he will not charge into the other cities and take them by force, as he took Eachanarch, he will be patient and wait until he is ready.
He did face some issues along the way, one for example was his mother had become pregnant and Pandion knew it was with his own child. However, using his 'persuasive methods' one last time on his mother, she agreed to do whatever it would take to be sure that their child would be safe. And so Pandion sent his mother to their private country house far from the castle, and blamed the child on Peregrine, who must have violently raped her after killing King Falcon. And there effectively getting rid of two birds with one stone. The question of his younger sister also came up, but this was no issue to Pandion who would auction her off to whomever bid the most. There was also an increasingly large problem with magic users in Eachanarch, and Pandion is beginning to wonder whether he should start getting rid of magical creatures and magic users.
