Money in Speirling
The money system in Speirling is simple. There are three main types of coins: bronze, silver and gold. Bank notes are available and are a mark of the wealthy. They are silvery-white in color and are stamped with the Speirling coat of arms. The idea of credit was pioneered by the kingdom of Gathaidh and is still new to Speirling and is distrusted by some members of the population. “Credit cards”, or “credit talismans”, as they are called, are in the form of a small leather plate, stamped with the coat of arms of your character’s kingdom of residence. Credit talismans are managed by each of the kingdom’s bank. Riasglach does not have a formal bank, obviously. Coins and bank notes may be used throughout Speirling, whereas credit may be refused by anyone and is generally distrusted outside of its home kingdom.
1 bank note = 10 gold 1 gold = 10 silvers 1 silver = 10 bronze
There are also other coins: coppers, quartz and marble. They follow a similar system as the more popular coins.
1 bronze= 10 coppers 1 coppers = 10 quartz 1 quartz = 10 marbles
