There's a giant on the loose!
A giant that was being held in Greannta Fortress, Foirfich (without letting the Council of Speirling know, thank you very much, Foirfich...) escaped last night and is currently roaming the countryside.
The beast is hungry and has been fed on human flesh all its life (what happens in Riasglach ends up in giant's bellies, apparently) and will eat humans and fae with as much thought as we give to eating a slice of bread. It is very dangerous and can cover ground and raise entire villages to the ground within seconds. It measures at twenty-one feet high and weighs well over two tons. It has a keen sense of smell and can smell humans from five miles away. It will be driven to aggression by the smell of blood.
We must stop this menace in its tracks before it harms anyone else and the livelihoods of the people of Speirling. You are advised to evacuate your villages and towns and head to the nearest capitol city and if the nearest capitol city is too far, make your way to the nearest stronghold. Stay in groups, for it takes many warriors to bring down a single giant.
This giant does not have the intellectual or emotional capabilities of humans and while it is not advised that you get close to it, it is not a sin if we kill this monster before it kills us. It is, after all, not even a person.
