SOCIAL CLASS;; Middle Class
MAGICAL POWERS;; He has some nature magic inherited from his mother, nowhere near as powerful as that of a pure nymph, but he can heal sick plants, encourage growth, and animals tend to be rather fond of him, as he has a limited ability to communicate with them.

PETS OR ANIMAL FAMILIARS;; Brier keeps three dogs and a cat with him as he travels, creatures he's picked up along his way. Two of the dogs are mid-sized, one was a herding dog beaten by his master, the other a stray in an Eacharnach city. The other is a massive wolfhound owned by an old widow who had no use for him in her big town, so Brier traded a spinning wheel for him. The cat's origins are ambiguous, he just appeared in Brier's wagon one morning and never left. He also has two black geldings who pull his wagon.
WEAPONS;; He carries a crossbow with him when he travels, as well as a very fine curved knife he got from another trader in Muireach.
PERSONALITY;;
Friendly < Everyone likes the company of someone who seems not only like they have their act together, but is also compassionate, social, and intelligent. So this is who Brier has always striven to be, and it works quite well for him. He likes to have fun wherever he goes and make as many "friends" as possible; he also enjoys seducing pretty young women and the occasional man, and he's become quite skilled at charming the hell out of people. To be perfectly honest, he likes the long term company of animals over humans, preferring to keep humans and humanoids around only temporarily.
Curious/Nosy < Whether it's any of his business or not, Brier likes to know everything; he sticks his nose wherever it'll go, digging up information that on very, very rare occasions he'll sell or trade for even more information. He's even blackmailed a few people over illicit affairs and criminal activities. He doesn't seem to fully comprehend that some things are just none of his business.
Dishonest < As a trader, Brier travels extensively, buying, selling, and trading both goods and services, but whenever he can, he cheats those he deals with. The way he sees it, you ought to know what you're doing, and what constitutes a fair deal, or you should just go back home and mind your own business. If you're going to be gullible or ignorant you get what's coming to you; so just leave all this to the savvy minds that know what they're doing. He's gotten into his share of trouble over this, when people have caught on to him, and many times he's woken up bloody, sprawled in a ditch.
Gambler < Brier likes to take chances, and one of his fondest past times is gambling; whether it be races, fights, dice, or cards, he'll do it, as often as possible. He also enjoys gambling in his life as well; this is a part of the reason he tries to cheat so many people, and why he travels with no company but his animals.
Playful < Having spent his childhood doing nothing but romp with his mother and her kin, Brier loves to play, laugh, and have fun, even when it makes him seem immature. Like all goblins he has a penchant for pranking, and though his jokes aren't always well received, his intentions are harmless and he doesn't want to hurt anyone.
FLAWS;;
Liar
Cheater
Seducer
Arrogant
Busybody
SECRETS;;
His Species < While not actually ashamed of his bloodlines, Brier hates it when people know what his species is; he has faced ridicule and contempt when people discover his goblin blood, thanks to the goblin penchant for pranks and their fixation on gold. He pretends to be human at all times.
FAMILY;;
Mother < Alys Skylark, Nymph, Teumnach
Father < Walland Brier, Goblin, Whereabouts Unknown
HISTORY;;
Before Birth < Walland was a goblin who worked for a sidhe, doing a variety of jobs, including stealing the heir to a duchy and helping one of his masters' favored changelings replace her. He was taking a walk through a forest in Teumnach one day, playing pranks on the satyrs, when he happened upon a group of female nymphs, and decided to have a little fun with them instead. He began teasing the girls, much to their chagrin; as they became more distressed, Walland's antics got meaner, until all the nymphs were in tears. Well, all but one, who was laughing so hard she startled Walland. She wasn't from the original group, she had come into the clearing sometime while the goblin had been terrorizing her kin, and had sat on a rock to watch the show. She was beautiful, and there was chemistry between them immediately; two years later, Alys had given birth to Walland's son, Brier.
Infancy - Youth < Brier was raised primarily by his mother, in the forest; his father's employment kept him away most of the time. Alys was a mischievous, adventurous girl, and she and Brier had great fun together. She taught him about nymph magic, and as he got older, trained him to use his; he loved living there with his mother, but things were always the best when Wallard came around. The goblin always knew how to stir things up, and his visits were like an extended party for the little boy. One of Brier's best memories is when Walland took him to Port Seang in Muireach, and he got to travel for the first time. That was when he realized that the forest was not the be all and end all of life, that there was a huge world all around him. From that day forward Brier had a bad case of wanderlust.
Young Adulthood - Present <When Brier was old enough, his father gave him some of the gold he'd saved, and he bought himself a horse and a small wagon, and, on his parents' insitence, several bolts of cloth and other semi-valuable items to trade. It was Walland's idea, not Brier's, for the young man to become a trader, so he would have a way to feed himself; he had the personality for it, so Walland believed he would do well enough. In fact, the boy did do well, though at first he struggled to learn the tricks of the trade. He eventually apprenticed with a veteran merchant, and spent six years honing his abilities before once again setting out on his own. For the past seventeen years he's been travelling through the kingdoms, doing more or less as he pleases.
