SOCIAL CLASS;; Above You All (considering she's a carnivorous underwater shape-shifter, probably none, or low-class)
MAGICAL POWERS;; Shape-Shifting

PERMANENT MARKINGS;; She has several scars on her body, mainly from tussles with her brother or other underwater predators, but also a few from humans and other victims. Most are lines, from claws, teeth, knives, and few are very visible, you really need to look for them to see them, but one in particular on her right forearm is long and puckered, and very obvious. It came from a knife wielded by a human lover she got bored with and drowned in a lake.
PETS OR ANIMAL FAMILIARS;; N/A, unless you count her brother (but he might hit you)
WEAPONS;; Generally, the only weapons she requires are her own claws/teeth, cunning, and brute strength
PERSONALITY;;
Trouble Maker < As a truly chaotic creature, nothing gives Caoimhe more satisfaction that causing problems for those around her. For the most part, these problems are small: pretending to shop, she'll dislodge a peach from the bottom of the stand, sending them all rolling to the ground, or she'll pretend to be some young man's illicit lover, thus driving a wedge between him and his true sweetheart. In the grand scheme of things, nothing she does is truly that chaotic, but she has no interest in toppling empires or causing war; she just enjoys the sweet intimacy of destroying the lives of people she meets on a daily basis. Hell, unless you've done something to offend her, she'll usually stick to doing things that cause no serious or long term damage; it's only when you incite her rage that she'll set out to completely and permanently crush you.
Cunning < Well, she is a predator. Her primary food source is humans, and she's found that sometimes she needs to use clever tricks to lure them into the water. The common practice is to take the form of a horse and let humans try to catch her, thus getting them close enough for her to grab. Some humans know better though, and won't approach horses if they're close to a significant body of water; these ones require a little effort. She targets men, more often than not; they're usually meatier, and they're susceptible to her "womanly charms". She's also been known to set herself up on the road as a fortune teller or earth witch, to trick sheltered, superstitious high borns, and convince them that bathing in this lake or that river will bring them luck/love/children/whatever. On one occasion, she even managed to turn an entire village against three young women, who were then cast out into the surrounding forest. Caoimhe then approached them disguised as a hermit and offered to guide them to the next village; when they reached the river, Caoimhe broke their legs and drowned them one by one.
Indifferent < Caoimhe's world revolves around herself, almost completely; she cares very little for the troubles of others and rarely pretends too. Even those she calls her "friends" should never count on her for anything, because all she'll ever do when faced with someone else's problem is shrug. She has no interest in the state of her kingdom or any of the others, doesn't care who's in charge or whether war is brewing (except in context of how much easier hunting would be during wartime) and has no remorse for chaos brought on by her own actions. In fact, as mentioned above, she rather enjoys that.
Capricious < From the information listed thusfar, one might expect Caoimhe to be a singularly vicious and unpleasant creature to be around, but in fact, there are times when she's somewhat tolerable. Her moods change constantly, and often unexpectedly, making it difficult to tell whether you should approach her, but she can be rather friendly when it suits her. She ranges from violently cruel, to calm and cold, to excitedly bubbly, and pretty well everything in between. Rarely is she actually pleasant to be around, but she can be great fun if you're careful of her mood swings, and are kind of an asshole yourself.

HISTORY;;
Saoirse Aoife and Ciaran Asher have had seven offspring together, the second of which is Caoimhe Aisling. Kelpies are not affectionate creatures, or at least, neither Saoirse nor Ciaran were, and they did not waste a great deal of time nurturing or raising their children. Caoimhe was on her own when she was the kelpie equivalent of a ten-year-old, after her parents had taught her how to use her shape shifting abilities to hunt. She knew her elder brother briefly, before he was abandoned, but it would be many years before she encountered any of her younger siblings. Caoimhe had been living in relative solitude when her elder brother, named Ciaran after their father, hunted her down. Larger, older, and stronger than her, he quickly asserted his dominance over her and they both returned to his much larger territory, a deep cold lake in Muireach.
Living together, they thrived, learning to use their shifting symbiotically, and concocting clever plans to catch victims. They were a fine team, but Ciaran always got the lion's share of the food, usually taking part of Caoimhe's kill as well as all of his own, so he continued to grow faster and larger than his sister. After a few years, Caoimhe started sneaking away to hunt alone, tired of her brother stealing her food; she too started to grow, and though she would always be smaller than Ciaran, she began to use her speed against him, biting him every time he tried to take part of her kills away, until finally he relented and allowed her to eat in peace.
For as long as they had lived together, Ciaran had left bi-monthly for a week or two, leaving Caoimhe alone in the lake; she knew he was searching for their parents and any other siblings they might not know about. This annoyed Caoimhe, who didn't understand why he was so interested in seeking family out; Caoimhe had no interest in family, and refused every time her brother tried to bring her along. Over the years, Ciaran succeeded in finding four more siblings, three females and a male, whom he brought back to the lake one by one. This infuriated Caoimhe, who by this time was sexually mature, and felt extremely threatened by her younger sisters, two of whom were also sexually mature. Caoimhe had for many years considered herself Ciaran's mate, and did not care to share him with other females; she quickly and viciously dominated all three, each within days of their arrival. For the most part, they submitted to her will, but enjoyed taunting and provoking her.
Eventually, she made it clear to Ciaran that if their sisters did not leave, she would, and as Ciaran also considered the two of them mates, he relented to allowing her to banish the three females, but refused to allow their brother to go, until Brennan insisted that he in fact wanted to leave. Once again, Ciaran and Caoimhe were alone in their lake, probably to the relief of the locals, and the other four spread out into the world.
