EACHARNACH
A northern kingdom with a horse-based culture. Their terrain is mostly steppes with scattered forests. Their borders are marked by the River Deamharruin and the sea on the northern side. Eacharnach is not focused on military nation, but they do train and keep a standing cavalry. They don't need much military strength due to their natural boundaries and their strong alliance with Foirfich. Eacharnach is a art-based nation and they take pride in beautiful cities, great literature and scientific developments made by their people. Once a year, they hold a games festival, to which every kingdom is invited. Their culture is moderately socially liberal and magic is not only practiced, but encouraged.
FOIRFICH
A powerful militaristic kingdom set on the planes in the Central Region. This nation does not care for beauty or individual expression as much as they care about results. They are a conservative culture, despite their alliance with Eacharnach. Magic is strictly regulated and only licensed practitioners may use it for the good of the state. No one is permitted to be idle in Foirfich. Everyone must have an occupation for the good of the government and the glory of the king. Their cities are industrialized, their land farmed for food and their barren ground used for war games.
GAOTHAIDH
A northeast mountainous nation. The Gaothaidh people are known for being the most scientifically-advanced people anywhere in the world. They are known for blending magic and science together and have discovered the power of steam. Their most famous discovery to date are their air-ships that sail through the skies, as well as their abilities to attach mechanicle wings to individuals. Although they are not a predominantly militaristic state, every other nation, is secretly threatened by them. They are moderately socially-liberal and magic is openly practiced and encouraged.
SGAITHTE
This southern kingdom is a land of rock, volcanoes and fire and dragons. The people here have learned to tame and communicate the beasts. They are a warrior-state and they feel particularly threatened by Gaothaidh. Indeed, things have been tense between the two air-nations for over fifteen years. Sgaithte is a proud, rigid nation iron-cast in traditional and is socially conservative. Magic practitioners must have a license in order to practice.
TEUMNACH
A peaceful subcontinent in the west, sanctioned off from the rest of the world by the River Deamharruin. This is the land there the faeries are carefree and laugh with their stolen children. Magic is so common here that the air buzzes with it. Teumnach is a beautiful place, filled with forests, hills and mountains and it is fed by a distributary from the River Deamharruin, called the Deamhnaidh. Although Teumnach never practices war, they are never bothered by their neighbors, for fear of their magic. Slavery is not permitted in Teumnach.
RIASGLACH
A southeastern nation of misery. Here criminals and those down-on-their luck toil through the marshlands. Little grows here, many die here. There are several self-proclaimed "kings", but no recognized system of government. This is where the other kingdoms send their banished former citizens. Their borders include the sea, which is paroled by ships from Muireach and their land border, which is a maintained iron fence, guarded by men on dragons. They are socially chaotic.
MUIREACH
An eastern nation connected closely with nautical life. They are the ones who sail out across the seas, searching for other worlds. They find them, too, and bring back exotic goods from faraway lands. They are also responsible, for the sea-pirate population. They are moderately socially conservative.
COMH-THAIGHEAS
Located between Eacharnach and Foirfich, there is a small neutral land. It is here that Ioralta Academy is located, as well as where the Counsel of Speirling is held.
