Has there ever been a lovelier sight? The water glistening so brightly. The trees swaying in the wind. To Faye it was a picture perfect moment. Closing her eyes she swallowed in the smell of the air, the chatter of the birds and the feel of the grass against her bare feet. Opening her eyes she grinned as she saw Ghost frolicking in the grass like a little pup, while Rain slept soundly at the Lake's edge. Hugging her coat to her chest she wandered down to Ghost and smirked " If I didn't know any better I'd say that you were the pup and Rain was an old man" Ghost shot her a look : " Do I look old to you young one." she snapped she said as she lightly bite her ankle. "Owie. Ghost that hurt. I didn't mean anything by it. I just meant that you looked so happy and free." Faye whined grabbing her ankle. Frowning at Ghost, Faye wandered to the Lake's edge and dipped her feet in: Aww,she thought happily, the water feels so good. Standing up she glanced around to make sure no one was around. Seeing no one besides her two companions she stripped down to her underclothes and jumped into the lake. Moaning with pleasure, Faye swan around for a bit before calling to Ghost " Hand me my soap Please." Ghost simply stared at her before grabbing her clothes and tossing them in the water. Rolling her eyes Faye swan toward the bundle in the and grabbed it. Frowning at Ghost Faye hung her clothes on a tree to dry before grabbing her backpack and pulling out the lye soap bars and the rags. Grimacing she walked back to the lake. She hated how hard the bars of soap were but until she got another job she had to make her money last. Staying in the shallow part of the lake, she soaped up,relaxed in the cool, deep lake and sighed. This was the life, how she wished she could stay here for all of eternity and forget all of her troubles. But that's not how the world works. she thought miserably. Sighing she sat up and began soaping her hair. Dragging her fingers through the length she tried to get out all of the tangles. Going deeper in the water she dunked her head until she was sure all of the soap had been rinsed. Walking back to the shore, she shivered as the breeze clung to her arms. As she reached for her jacket she suddenly remembered that it along with her other good clothes had been dunked into the lake. Scowling she stomped to her pack and found the other pair of clothes she had on hand. Pulling on her extra clothes took no longer than a minute but,her mood didn't leave her. Flopping down in the grass she watched the sky as the birds flew. " I wonder how it feels to fly." she said. " I do not believe that its much fun considering the fact that it seems like the birds are always dizzy." Ghost said. " Must you be such a kill joy. I mean come on....Think about it. The feel of the air against your wings, the freedom that the air can provide and the knowing that nothing can ever.....," A huge eagle swept in and grabbed a sparrow in its huge claws. " You were saying?" Ghost said smirking. Frowning Faye looked for a new perspective to look at. Settling on the horizon she stared and let her imagination overtake her. Before she knew it she was dozing off into a peaceful slumber.

Had there ever been a lovelier sight? Her skin shown so sensually. Her curves gracefully blending into the waterline. Her youthful face looking as delicious as her womanly body. To Zoran, this was the picture-perfect moment.
Zoran did enjoy watching the girls bathe, especially the virginal ones and by now, he knew the status of their virginity just by looking at them. He was concealed behind the spotty foliage of the rare trees that surrounded the lake. It did seem to be a popular spot for the pretty (and not-so-pretty) girls to bathe, probably because of the privacy that the surrounding trees provided. Privacy his equine ass! Zoran's life mission was to breach every level of every man's and woman's personal privacy. Zoran had a lot of other life missions, and they were all equally vulgar. Of course, if he were caught, he would play the innocence card, which worked every time like a charm. Who would suspect a holy unicorn of lewd thoughts?
The peeping tom sighed with disappointment as the maiden pulled on dry clothes. He had rather hoped that she would have lay naked on the grass for awhile, but he supposed it wouldn't be long before he took off her clothes anyway. Why most two-legged people thought clothes were so necessary was beyond him, but it was sort of fun to tear their clothes off before he had his way with them. It presented more of a challenge.
The maiden appeared to have fallen asleep and it was then that Zoran made his move. Moving from his hiding place, he cantered out onto the lawn and paraded around, whinnying, tossing his mane, brandishing his horn and otherwise acting like a flamboyant colt.

Hearing the sound of a colt in the distance caused Ghost's ears to pop up. Hearing the noise deepen as she awoke caused her to become alarmed. Looking toward the source of the noise she was surprised to see what seemed to be a unicorn in the distance. Nudging Faye, she attempted to wake her: "Wha..Ghost..go away I'm still asleep." Faye said pushing Ghost away "You need to wake up young one..There's something out there..I think its a unicorn." "Wha..!," Faye sat up abruptly "A unicorn...that's so cool.I wanna see it." " Shush young one. It might not even be an actual unicorn. I've heard of Kelpie's being around this part so that might be it." Crouching lower in the field Faye peered through the grass at the colt. "Well it looks like a unicorn and if it was a Kelpie why isn't it in human form." she whispered to Ghost. "I don't know but, I suggest we collect Rain and our stuff and leave before he gets any closer. Even if it is a unicorn I don't like the look of him. Some unicorns have immoral values so I suggest we not sit around to find out." Faye weighed these possibilities around in her mind. "Maybe you're right but, I still wanna see it up close. If it's really as bad as you say I'll figure out someway to make it go away." Ghost surveyed her with a questionable look. "What? You don't think I can do it?" "Young one, I think this is a dumb idea, but I will do what I can to keep you safe." Turning away, Ghost grasped Rain behind his neck and carried him over to where she and Faye had been relaxing. Putting him down beside Faye she sat in front of both of them as they awaited the approach of the unicorn.

Once he had determined that he had shown off satisfactorily, Zoran cantered back to the girl, tossing his mane and looking at her with his big, blue eyes through is satin, white mane. He was every girl's dream come to life and he knew it. He also knew that he would be fulfilling another dream they may or may not have known they had after he had gained their trust. It was almost easy enough to be boring, except he never got bored.
"Are you a princess?" He asked, in his silvery voice. "Forgive me, fair maid, but you look as beautiful as a daughter of a crown."
He lowered his head to his knee as he sank into a bow, before rising, throwing his head back with more force than was necessary. His alabaster mane flew everywhere. "Oh, silly me!" Zoran explained, going slightly cross-eyed as he peered through his own forelock, giving him a tousled appearance. "Now my mane is askew. Perhaps you would like to brush it for me, dear one?"

As the "unicorn" had approached Faye had noticed a change in the atmosphere surrounding her two companions. Ghost had seemed to become agitated so much so that she was growling and snarling; even Rain seemed to be annoyed by the approach of the creature. Oh no, Faye thought to herself, it really is a kelpie and now I've caused such an unfortunate fate to befall us. Faye's eyes began to water as she silently admonished herself :WHY WHY WHY...must I be so stupid...if only I had listened to Ghost when she told me to run. As she started to sob, Faye felt Ghost start to lick her cheek in worry. She knows were going to die and now she's trying to comfort me in our last hour. Faye wept bitterly regretting her actions and bemoaning the things she wouldn't get to do. She was ignoring the fact that the unicorn who stood feet away from her was talking. Feeling Ghost pawing at her skirt, she summoned as much courage as she could, wiped her eyes and looked up to acknowledge the unicorn that stood before her. "What are you going to do to me, vile creature from the lake?" she asked bitterly as she fought the urge to tremble for fear of the unknown. You must stay strong, she thought, never show fear and if worst comes to worst...try to kill it before it kills you. This set off another stream of tears as she thought, but I'm not any good at fighting. Trembling she wiped the tears away before she stood up and backed up a few feet from the "unicorn". Collapsing into a heap she looked up again at the creature that stood before her and asked: "Are you gonna kill me?"

For some strange reason, the girl began to cry and then called him a "vile creature from the lake". Zoran pulled his best offended face and recoiled in false hurt.
"My dear..." He started, but shut up abruptly when the girl asked him if he was going to kill her.
What in Dadga's name...? Had rumors of his whoring ways been distorted to such an extreme as he was now known as a murderer? Had he Notorious MaiLittlePonie Gang been twisted so deviously that his necrophilia had been twisted into something much more sinister? Zoran might have been a nasty, nasty unicorn, but apart from breaking the more-than-occasional hymen, he never hurt anyone, least of all young girls.
"Why in the name of the gods would I do that, dear one?" He crooned, gently, sending warning glances at the wolf...and was that a dragon? He would deal with them later, sexually or otherwise. "I'm a lover, not a killer."

Faye stared at the "unicorn". She didn't know if it was being truthful or just trying to gain her trust. She has never met any other mystical creatures besides dragons, so she had no idea how to react towards it. She hoped she would not offend it by her lack of knowledge, but then again it should like her because she was a virgin and didn't unicorns love virgins. She thought so but this caused her to question why unicorns liked virgins. Surely it is not for something immoral; I mean unicorns are supposed to be pure creatures. I know that's why they like virgins because they have something in common, both are pure and innocent. I hope I'm right, she thought. Not trusting her instincts she consulted with Ghost: "What should I do? Can we trust it?" "I don't know young one,but I do not believe that it wishes us harm." "Maybe but, are we sure its an actual unicorn?" "As you said before if it was a kelpie, it would be in human form right?" "Yes, but Ghost..surely..." "Enough chitchat, you need to say something to it." "I know, but if it is a unicorn is it a good unicorn?" Rolling her eyes as best a wolf could, Ghost sighed and replied "The chances of it being a bad unicorn are very little." Faye mulled over what they had discussed. Then nodding to Ghost, Faye tried to summon some courage to talk to the creature. "H..ii.i, Unicorn..umm, aren't all unicorns supposed to be females?" she said blushing slightly.

Zoran laughed, a sound like the purest water rushing over a riverbed made up of precious gems. It was not an unkind laugh and it sounded beautiful. The unicorn was physically, total perfection, and there was nothing ugly about him, at least, about his outside appearance.
"Where did you hear that, dear one?" He asked, taking the opportunity to close the distance between them with a few steps. "Of course all unicorns are not female." He said, with a smile. "How would we produce little foals? They're so cute. Have you ever seen one?"
He enticing blush did not escape his notice. Blushing virgins encouraged him more than the shameless virgins. It meant he had something to take and add to his collection of innocence that he carried with him, that he fed off of.
"Now, I heard a nasty rumor that all nymphs are female. You are a nymph, aren't you? You're certainly pretty enough."

Staring at the creature with wide eyes, Faye for the first time allowed herself to take in the full beauty of him. His majestically black coat seemed to sparkle in the waning sunlight, his hair flowed so freely in the breeze, his blue eyes shined so crystal clear and even his laugh was musical. She was watching him so intently she almost missed his question of "Now, I heard a nasty rumor that all nymphs are female. You are a nymph, aren't you? You're certainly pretty enough." Frowning slightly at his suggestion of her beauty she answered "No there are some male nymphs and I'm only half nymph...my father was human, that's why I'm not as beautiful as my mother probably was or even as pretty as the average human girl." Shaking her head at the unpleasant cloud of depression that had started to settle on her because of the thought of her long lost mother and the knowledge of her ugliness, Faye went back to staring at the unicorn's immaculate body. His long legs were very powerful and his face seemed kind and gentle, but there was something else...something that seemed a bit more sinister. Pushing the thought to a corner but not allowing it to fully leave her mind, Faye looked at the unicorn and asked "I hope I don't seem to rude, but you are an extremely beautiful unicorn. Can I touch you? And oh I hadn't noticed before but your mane is a mess, I can brush it for you and your coat..if you want that is." She looked down frightfully. Zoran smiled a unicorn's a smile: a slight upward curl of his lips as he neared her, shaking his head, so that his the satin coat on his crest and neck glimmered in the sunlight. He was a beautiful sight to behold, he knew it and he was always prepared to capitalize on it.
"Now, I wouldn't degrade yourself to an 'average human girl'. Average human girls can be very pretty, you do." He winked at her, cheekily. It wasn't the creepy, sex-crazed wink that old men flashed at prostitutes in pubs, but a playful, carefree grin. Zoran knew how to playact like a professional player in the finest playhouses in all of Speirling.
"Please do." He purred, with another shake of his glorious, admittedly messy, silvre mane and forelock. "In fact, why don't you brush it? It needs a good grooming. I'll even lie down so you can reach it better." He carefully knelt on the ground and lowered himself to a non-threatening position, his legs curled under him. "You'll have to come...a little closer."

Faye stared at the unicorn for a second before backing up grabbing her pack and pulling out her rose petal sword that she always carried in rose petal form of course. After positioning it into her hair so that she could grab it easily, she pulled out her brush because it didn't seem right that the unicorn wasn't offended by what she had said earlier...Come to think of it he seemed to be to smug and unsure of itself to be genuine. Smiling softly at the unicorn she said: "Oh no you wonderfully majestic beast please don't soil yourself further by lying down on such a hard ground. You should stand up and Ill sit in this tree. I just wouldn't feel right to cause you such discomfort, only those of us on two legs should lie on such a hard ground." Something just didn't feel right about how the unicorn was being so willing to come to her. It should be more bashful. She had heard stories about how unicorns were hard to catch, even for virgins so why would someone as plain as herself be lucky enough to catch such a cute creature. And that was another thing, why did it keep insisting that she was pretty. It was overstating her worth in such a horrible way, she knew she was no prize so he shouldn't act like it. And why was it acting such a mess, like it was clumsily. She was sure that before she had glimpsed it dancing gracefully or had she been blind for the first ten minutes. Faye sensed something was wrong with this picture. Glancing around she noticed that Rain had disappeared causing her to frown. I know Rain is awfully shy but he wouldn't hide from such a harmless creature if it really was harmless. Motioning Ghost back, Faye climbed the tree and beckoned the unicorn closer.

"But I'm already all comfy here and everything!" The unicorn whined, and it was true, he was seated very comfortably on the cushy grass, watered by the nearby lake, and now she was demanding that he had to stand under a tree, that would most likely drop the sap-covered remains of dried-up fruits on his flawless coat. But what the virgin wanted, the virgin got.
"Fiiiinnneeee...." He finally relented, pulling himself to his feet and strolling over to the tree she was climbing, presenting his crest for her to groom. "But your groom's skills had better be worth it." He grumbled.
"So do I have the honor of knowing the name of the beautiful maiden who is entwining her fingers in my mane?" He said, feeling the need for some light conversation. He didn't want to stand there in awkward silence, but he could do it, if he had no other choice.

Faye couldn't help giggling as the unicorn whined like a three year old. Smiling at the unicorn she leaned lower so that she could brush his hair. It felt so silky and she found it so lovely to touch. She chose to alternate between brushing it,combing it with her fingers and massaging his scalp. First she worked on his forelock. Ugh, she thought, he sure it sure is messy . I'm just glad there aren't many snags. After spending a good amount of time on his forelock and then she tried to reach his mane. Frowning slightly she swung down and walked closer to the unicorn. As she started to brush his mane she realized that he had asked her "So do I have the honor of knowing the name of the beautiful maiden who is entwining her fingers in my mane?" Frowning at the unicorn again calling her beautiful she sighed before replying: "My name is Faye but, what about you? Surely a majestic unicorn as yourself was given a name that would do it justice? So would you give me the honor of knowing what that name is?" As she awaited for his answer she started to scratch him behind his ear. She knew that some animals liked that and she hoped it was true of magical creatures. Feeling something jumping there she pinched whatever it was and pulled her hand back. She saw that she was holding a tiny bug...obviously a tick or something. Looking at the unicorn she frowned. I guess even creatures of beauty have flaws, she thought. As she was just about to tell the unicorn of his apparent infestation Ghost barked a warning. Looking behind her Faye saw what looked like a tornado rising out of the ocean. Running she grabbed her clothes, yanked her pack on and yelled to the unicorn: "RUN! ITS SOME KIND OF TORNADO." As she ran she saw Ghost following close behind her, but no sign of Rain. Looking around she started to worry before she stumbled over a rock and landed on her stomach with the clothes she had been holding thrown in front of them. Getting up she grabbed the clothes, held them to her chest and ran praying that Rain was safe and just as she began to get worried she saw Rain flying just in front of her. At least she knew they were all safe and she hoped the unicorn had gotten away, but it was a magical creature so he should be alright. Zoran blinked and felt his entire body deflate; all of the tension he had carrying melting like wax set to a candle. The feeling of a maiden's fingers winding through his mane was enough to make any unicorn turn to jelly. This was what all unicorns existed and lived for and Zoran was no exception. In a state of total relaxation, he let out a sneeze that sounded like that of any horse, swishing his tail contentedly.
"Zzzoran." He purred, his eyes heavily lidded.
"What's that? A mite?" He scoffed. He wouldn't be caught dead with bugs on him. "Nasty little buggers...literally!" He then took time to giggle at his own joke.
And then she just up and left, running after her critters. Well, that was weird. Shaking his head in an attempt to bring himself back to his former state of attention. Dragging his feet out from under the grove of three trees, Zoran lumbered into the open, and that was when he saw the tornado. His eyes widened.
Spinning around on his haunches, he sped towards the girl, Faye, catching up with her in seconds. Kneeling down to where she had fallen, he prepared to do something he did for very few people.
"Climb on my back, darling."

Normally Faye was a person who thought..a lot. She thought about whether everyday she lived she was a lie. She thought about whether she was pretty or not. She thought about whether things would have been different if her parents were still alive. She even wondered if her everything was a dream, but when.... Zoran (yeah....she thought that was what he said his name was) told her to get on his back she did just that. There was no time to think with a tornado hot on their heels.Even the fact that her skirt was shoved up past her knees didn't register. Wasting no time, she scrambled on the unicorn's back and held on by wrapping her arms around his neck. It was amazing how strong a unicorn was. They looked so light and fragile and yet in a pinch they made for awesome horses. Forgetting all about her extra clothes and her two companions she allowed the unicorn to speed away without much thought to her safety. At that moment she did not care where they were heading as long as it was away from the storm. As he ran she felt her senses becoming more and more intensified. The world blurred before her eyes causing her to close her eyes and take in the scents and sounds that seemed to be mixing together into one big soup. She felt a new freedom that bubbled into her chest and took her breath away. For the first time, even in the face of great danger, she felt truly alive and like she belonged. But even in the midst of such a great feeling, Faye didn't forget that there was a storm behind them. Twisting slightly she found she could still make out the frightening thing and if anything it had gotten bigger. Turning back around Faye felt the feeling of great happiness shrink as she huddled closer to the unicorn in fear.It seemed that as fast as the unicorn ran they never seemed to gain any ground away from the storm. It remained constantly on their heels and even closer in Faye's ears. Either this storm wasn't made normally or it was just extremely large, but considering the fact that it was growing at an alarming rate it seemed more than likely that it had been abnormally made. The only times Faye had felt this much fear was when her family died and when she was being tortured by those children. <Flashback> " Excuse me. Excuse me..eek..I'm right here. I know I'm small, but still. Stop pushing me. What's going on?Where's my mom and dad? Can you help me?" eight year old Faye said trying to push through the crowd that was gathered around her house. She had been visiting the cave of one of her dragon friends when she had seen smoke in the distance. Immediately she had run home and found herself lost in a crowd that had gathered seemingly from nowhere and as she was eight no one was paying her any attention. Finally she was able to maneuver to the front of the crowd and what she saw horrified. Smoke billowed out of all sides of her house as fire consumed the exterior. Screaming Faye had tried to run into the house before being grabbed and held tight. "No lass, it's not safe." "Bu..buutt mmyyy mmoommyy aandd dddaddy aand ssissters annd brrotherrs are iiinnn tthhheeerrrreee...." Faye had whimpered with tears streaking down her face. After that no one had said anything but they wouldn't let her enter the building and all she could do was watch in silence as her whole family was destroyed. End flashback That was the first time she had felt true fear. After that she had to grow up pretty fast, and learn how to protect herself otherwise she would have gone crazy. Blinking back tears from the memory, Faye prayed for deliverance as she held on for dear life.
